We learn about co-production
- We curate the Knowledge Base: a repository of resources, information, case studies, research, audio recordings, toolkits and more. There we signpost to a whole range of resources, and we also include some of our own which we have developed through working with our community of practice. You may want to check out this Catalogue of co-production case studies from Wales, the co-production audit tool, the Measuring What matters evaluation toolkit, and our Glossary of engagement terminology.
- We have monthly online #learning sessions where we share what we know with members, and some open sessions for a broader audience. Keep an eye on the monthly newsletter and the members’ notifications for events listings!
- We have built an e-learning platform which holds our self-directed ‘Fundamentals of Co-production’ and our 12-week ‘Co-production and You’ courses, and we are constantly developing new briefings, soft skills training, and a toolkit of methods that are accessible for everyone to study at a pace that suits them.
We connect and share with others
- Our members tell us that they value the sense of camaraderie and support they get from being part of the community of practice. It helps to know you’re not alone, and that there are people who share your values and also believe in a better way of doing things.
- Our monthly #CoproLearning and #CoproConversations events for members are centred around a relevant theme, providing the opportunity to learn from others in that field, share experiences and reflect together.
- The Circle community platform is the space to connect with other members from all over Wales, online.
- We are running our events online still … but planning to bring in-person events back when circumstances allow us to do so, and especially our annual co-production conference at the Catrin Finch Centre in Wrexham Glyndwr University.
We influence decision and policy makers
- As a community, we bring our collective voice to influence change with our decision and policy makers, and contribute to shaping an enabling public service and policy environment in Wales, so that we can all keep doing more and better co-production.
- Our network is linked up with other like-minded change networks, like the Resourceful Communities Partnership. We respond to consultations, and we attend some of the Third Sector Partnership meetings brokered by the WCVA: our team is able to keep reporting on latest practice and challenges in the Welsh co-production world thanks to what we’re hearing from our members.
- Through our 5-year National Lottery funded project, we are working with 3 clusters of Public Services Boards to turn their engagement into meaningful involvement, embed co-productive behaviours, and transform culture.
