It expanded during the pandemic, engaging with people from a range of organisations with remits as wide ranging as health and social care, inspection bodies, third and academic sectors.

Objectives

  • To use the knowledge and practice of members to influence policy and decision-making at local, regional and national levels, building capacity and skills within communities to increase and enhance their resourcefulness and promote Community power.
  • To bring together interest, research and practice experience to accelerate good practice in community action/activities that promote community resourcefulness and underpinned by the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act 2015 and the Social Services & Wellbeing Act 2014.
  • To inform and promote the evidence base and research for action/activities that support community empowerment.
