IMPACT (South East Wales): Learning from the ups and downs of co-production with social care services in Wales

November 14 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Free

Background:

Welsh Government have commissioned IMPACT, an evaluation of the implementation of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. This work is being undertaken by a collaborative research team based in University of South Wales, Swansea University, Bangor University and Cardiff Universities.

The evaluation is focusing on five key themes – well-being, prevention, voice and control, multi-agency working and co-production. The evaluation of co-production is being led by Swansea University and the Wales School for Social Care Research in partnership with the Co-production Network for Wales.

In the evaluation of co-production it is vitally important to learn from the direct experiences of people who are engaged in co-production, whether this be in social work practice, social care services, or local communities. One of the most effective ways to learn from experience is through stories. We would therefore warmly invite anyone who has been involved in co-production to join us to share and learn from their stories at three regional events.

Draft programme for the evaluation events:
9.30: Refreshments
10.00: Short outline of IMPACT and in particular the evaluation of co-production
10.45: Gathering stories of co-production – what’s working well
11.30: Refreshment break
11.45: Gathering stories of co-production – what’s not working so well
