Governance of Wales Citizens’ Assembly (Meet the new First Minister)

February 4 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

You are invited to the second Governance of Wales Citizens’ Assembly on Monday February 4th 2019, organised by Citizens Cymru Wales.

Hundreds of community leaders from Citizens Cymru member organisations across Wales will gather in Cardiff to meet with the new First Minister of Wales*, Mark Drakeford AM to begin a relationship around the social justice priorities that matter to Citizens Cymru members.

We will be asking the new First Minister, will you and your Cabinet work with us to:

  • Make Wales a Real Living Wage Economy?

  • Keep a Welcome for Refugees in our Communities?

  • Provide Homes for All?

  • Promote Citizen Participation?

  • Ensure Dignity in Social Care?

  • Create Opportunities that Match our Kids’ Aspirations?

We will also ask the First Minister if they will meet a Citizens Cymru Wales delegation once a year to review progress on our work together, nominate a senior aide to relate to Citizens Cymru Wales day-to-day, and attend a Citizens Cymru Wales Accountability Assembly ahead of the next election.

We will also ask them to share with us their vision for the nation and where they stand on some of the big challenges such as Brexit.

Tickets are free and priority is given to participating member organisations of Citizens Cymru Wales.
