Cardiff Design Festival – Policy & Service Design for the Public Sector

October 11 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

Free
Public engagement can be so much more than a tick-box exercise

Traditional policy development often fails to engage people in a meaningful way.

Design, more commonly known as a method for developing products and services in the private sector, is also increasingly applied for developing user-centred services and policies in the public sector. Design methods are being used by multidisciplinary government teams, called Policy Labs, to enhance citizen involvement at various stages of the policy cycle.

Dr Anna Whicher, Head of Design Policy at PDR, will share her experience and insights from working with policy innovation units across Europe

This event is part of Cardiff Design Festival programme and is aimed at policy makers, government, public sector, service providers and anyone interested in innovation and creativity within public sector.
