Pobl Tir Môr worked with Underwood Farm, a local organic grower and community business, to make their veg box scheme more accessible to people in Pembrokeshire. They developed the project with community members from the VC Gallery and parents from a local primary school, using creative methods and cooking together to encourage engagement around food and sustainability.
Over 24 months, the project brought together 45 people across 12 events, subsidised veg boxes for 6 households, and built lasting relationships between the grower and local customers. The project demonstrates how co-production works when you build on existing community connections, involve people in decisions at every stage, and create informal spaces where real conversations can happen. Participants reported dramatic positive effects on their health and wellbeing, new friendships, and increased confidence.
