It Makes Sense Conference (and Deaf Mental Health)

An event from one of our members! Anne Silman is also a member of the British and European Societies for Mental Health and Deafness, who will be presenting at this conference.ย She has just started a Bevan Commission Exemplar project which involves a Deaf Mental Health Multi-Disciplinary Service in Betsi Cadwalader University Heatlh Board. At the conference she will taking the opportunity to register expressions of interest from BCUHB staff in learning BSL and in being trained in deaf mental health. (There will be a workshop on mental health and deafness, as well as BSL taster sessions at the conference.)

BCUHB will be signing the British Deaf Associationโ€™s BSL Charter and therefore BSL will be featured much more in patient care, as well as social care. If you are not part of Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board but your have an interest in Anne Silman’s work she’d like to hear form you! Attend the conference or contact her on [email protected]
